The Showcase Redline Era Special Issue

Welcome back to the Little Toy Cars Redline Era Showcase.

I recently had an opportunity to photograph a Friend and Fellow collector, Gerard Grenier's, collection. Gerard has one of the most awesome grouping of unique redline era pieces that I have seen since I started collecting. I thought that you would enjoy seeing some of his stuff also. Thanks Gerard for sharing.

A very tough redline to find in bp and to top it off, a Blue one. Nice!

Another tough car to find in blisterpack, a blue Euro VW bug with No Sunroof.

Shelby Turbine proto-type. White interior Turbines are tough and than add the removable fuel tanks and you have a super rare piece and to top it off, this one is the only one that has been seen with the slot in the base for the attachment of the fuel tanks, Wow!

TNT Bird proto-type. The car is gold which Mattel never produced for regular production and it also has an extended front spoiler as well as a smaller radiator and engine compartment configuration.

Wow! Magenta What 4 with white interior in blisterpack.

Pink over chrome Boss Hoss in a half blister. This one is a beauty!

Pink Rolls Royce in a Rose Bud blister. The blister is mint and the finish on the car is the most even that I have ever seen, looks like it was done over chrome.

Brabham Repco in purple. This one is a proto-type with the opaque window.

Enamel RED Lotus Turbine Proto-Type. This is the only Red Enamel one known to exist. (There is an enamel orange red version which is also a proto-type).

Chaparral Proto-type in Red Enamel. Gerard has another one that is painted red enamel over white enamel.
