Redline Guys Meeting Highlights 10/19/03
Welcome back to our club, the Redline Guys, meeting highlights section.
Below are some of the highlights from our most recent meeting on Sunday October 19th, 2003.
This months meeting was held at Mike Ellis's house in Upland and was probably our biggest so far with almost twenty in attendance.
I would like to especially thank, Mike and Sharon for their great hospitality and for hosting our meeting this time. We had a great time of hanging out and sharing some of the newest finds and stories from the convention and others.
In attendance was: Mike E., Dave E.(Redlinedd), Craig (Hvymtlwhlz), Gerard G., Joe A.(HotwhelJoe), Dan D., Mark R., Ed B.(Praisedalowered)., Woody I.(Freestyl), Sergio J.(SergCharge), Sandra, Ted, Tom K.(KillerK), Dave Serrano(Dave Serrano), Mike F.(Mikesgarage), Bob C.(Redlinerb) and we even had some of our wife's come and join in this time, so it was a great family affair. Thanks Ladies, for putting up with us and our Little Toy Car Habit:)
One note: I took many pictures this time and there were many awesome cars there, unfortunately, a lot of the shots had lighting problems with shadows and all kinds of other problems, and many were out of focus, so I picked the best ones to post but let me just say that, "the Pictures don't even come close to doing the cars Justice." I apologize for the photo quality.
Also
Mike Fiamengo had a family emergency and had to leave early before we got started so I have added some of his awesome cars to the group shots that were taken later. It was a great meet but it wasn't the same without you Bud!
Phil (67CudaConvert) also made the trip but didn't get in (long story) Sorry Buddy! We missed you both!

Above are a few photo's of the guys and gals getting set up and sharing. |
The three cars all belong to Dan Doman. He likes the purple's especially but has some other awesome pieces as well. Check out the HK Purple bug...Wow! |
Left: Gerard and Dave E. Center: Sandra showing off her newly released "prisoner" to Dave Serrano and Sharon. Right: Dave Espino setting up. |
Sorry about the lighting on these photo's. They are Dave E.'s glowing orange examples and to the right are Dave group and Woody's to the rear of the photo...Cool cars, all of them! |
Dave Serrano's two glowing orange examples, a US Orange Cougar and Shelby Turbine with champagne interior...Wow! |
Check these out...All belong to Ed Blanco. Check out the Purple Bye Focal in the group shot...Holy cow, what a beauty! The other cars in Ed's group aren't bad either. Blue Open Fire, purple Evil Weevil, red Olds with dark interior, just to name a few...Awesome Ed!! Here she is in close-up shots! |
Gerard and some of his stuff. Center: Chaparrals, first is the unpainted with black wing and the next two are red enamels, not to mention the rest of the color assortment. Right: Check out the awesome and RARE Speed Test Day banner and kit...WOW! |
Left: Ed, Woody, Joe and Tom Center: Ed, Dave E. Ted and Mike Ellis with Dan in the lower corner, checkin out some cool redlines. Right: Ted, Dave Serrano, Craig and his son with his wife and Dan in the corner. Can't start the kids too young on redlines:) |
Left first two: Joe Astengo's group of cars. Next is Mark, Dan and Dave Serrano. Dave wearing his "clean room" gloves. |
Some of Marks awesome cars! He likes Cords but has some other really awesome pieces. Check out the Magenta and creamy pink VW's...WOW! |
Left: Marks, Black top, King Kuda's Center: New convention addition, Salmon pink Cord, what a beauty! Note: The towel that the cars were sitting on, casted a shadow that looked like toning on the sides of the cars:(, these baby's had NO TONING!! |
Some of Mike Fiamengo's cars. Mr. Clean upheld his reputation with this bunch! The Olive Boss Hoss was a blister liberation release, a couple of years ago and it is Clean, Clean, Clean! |
Right: I was so bummed I didn't get a chance to take more individual car shots, especially of Mike Ellis cars and then the group shot was blurred...I can tell you that Mike has some really awesome piece's though. Center left: Woody checking out Mikes cool throw back room, the room was awesome and brought back a lot of memories because it looked a lot like my room when I was a kid. Center right: Sergio's convention finds except for the Model...I think he did very well this year. Right: Tom, Ted and Joe |
Left: Sharon Ellis and Sandra taking a break from the action. Center Right through the last: Sandra opening her beautiful Orange '36 Coupe blister. The car was a convention find earlier this month. The pictures don't do it justice, it just glowed and she was a happy camper...now if she would just sell that one to me:) She won't:(..... |
Left: The apple green Evil Weevil was one of the cars that Ted picked up at the convention. It came from AL one of our other members and it came without a steering wheel....long story but the car is truly awesome and has white interior to boot. Center Left and Right: Two other beauties that Ted picked up, A US Green Mustang and a Antifreeze CUDA both just glowed! Right: A grouping of Ted's cars from the rear. |
This grouping belongs to Woody...I was so disappointed in the lighting on these photo's. None of the cars are pictured as they look in person. The Firebird is a GLOWING Lime/Antifreeze. The Mustang is a Dark Aqua almost looks black and the Cougar is one of the nicest Red Cougar's that I have seen, couldn't tell anything by the photo's though. All were convention additions this month. I got a shot of Woody's new light blue Cougar but the shot was terrible and made the car look like a regular blue, so I didn't post it. I will try and get some better shots at a later time...Sorry Bud! |
I hardly ever take shot's of my cars when I am at the meetings and this time was no exception but I added these shots of some of my keepers that were there at the meeting, later in the week. Three early run Camaro's all with tab base's and painted back grills. The Antifreeze also has the full HK interior with black steering wheel and tinted glass. |
Left to Right: Yellow Beach Bomb, Antifreeze Cougar and Antifreeze T-bird |
Left to Right: Icy purple King Kuda and Dark purple Lola, two of my favorites. |
Left to Right: My Olive Sugar Caddy with white interior, Icy Aqua Mustang and Olive US at far right. |
Left to Right: The Aqua Nomad is a childhood car. Next is a light blue Continental and a gorgeous red US CUDA. |
